The Republicans aren't a party at all but rather the label for a variety of conservative causes that, to the disadvantage of freedom, rarely work well enough together to reverse any problems created by the Democrats and Liberals. The best we can hope for is Republican governing bodies that at least won't make things worse during their term.

Ann Coulter
Ann Coulter made an inappropriate comment about John Edwards. I think the delayed but positive reaction from her audience wasn’t a response to what she said about Edwards but rather her observation that if you use a politically incorrect word, as defined by the more liberal members of our society, you have to be rehabilitated. It is bitterly true and those of us who aren’t so liberal don’t simply find it annoying; we are afraid. We are afraid of this Brave New World and the collapse and undermining of every freedom we ever had. With respect to the attack on Edwards, how does the press, the seekers of truth, miss the irony of Ann Coulter being taken to task for suggesting that he was a homosexual and then, in their next editorial (or in the next TV show) praise, applaud, and encourage homosexuals. I ask the press, did she insult him or praise him?
