Who would have thought Muslim Clerics could belly-laugh? War by committee? No need for the Pentagon, the President, or even those hundreds congressmen who watch out for our future. Now I ask you, could they have picked committee members who have been more out of the loop? If this is supposed to appeal to seniors, it didn’t. Maybe they should add a couple of ministers and a housewife to make sure no group’s views aren’t considered. Afterall, there is no longer an American view only the many diverse views that make up each cherished voting block. What will our enemies do now that we have mailed them our play book? I saw a lot of good military officers take an early-out under the Clinton administration but this is really going to send them packing. Newt Gingrich describes Europe as being in Elegant Decay. I don’t think the US is going to make it to elegant decay – we don’t have the resolve to do anything elegant. If the Democrats have a plan to protect us they better get it published right away so President Ahmadinejad and I know what to do next. On a calmer note, by publishing the committee’s report, they have put President Bush in the position of having to state that he won’t follow it. If they had given him the information privately, he could have followed their recommendations and said publicly that he was going to follow their recommendations. But then I suppose it was just more of the give and take between our political parties that has made us all so proud.
