The debate about the possible causes of the economic downturn only serves to demonstrate that simple economics is no longer taught in school. The current administration has promised to hurt business and, to make the future even more uncertain and forbidding, they won't say how or how much they will hurt us. The only specifics we get is that if you make more money than they think is appropriate you are guaranteed pain and soon. You don't need an MBA to know why US business is frozen like a deer in the headlights. Every word makes it worse, every threat stops another entrepreneur, and every pointless child-like stimulus packages delays recovery. They can't be that stupid. You have to ask yourself, why are they deliberately crushing our economy?
The Republicans aren't a party at all but rather the label for a variety of conservative causes that, to the disadvantage of freedom, rarely work well enough together to reverse any problems created by the Democrats and Liberals. The best we can hope for is Republican governing bodies that at least won't make things worse during their term.
